Warm Bodies

Description

Some of you might remember the background from the W.I.P deviation I submitted some time ago, and I promised the one who could guess which movie this scene was from would get 10 points... Well... No one guessed right. The background was from the amazing movie Warm Bodies... The minute I saw this scene, I was like, I have to try and draw this! It's so freaking beautiful! I totally fell in love with the couldy, redish sky. It was just too beautiful *-*!

Anyway, I tried out a new coloring/shadowing technique and it turned out... not so well xD! I swear, I'm not gonna try that technique again and punish your eyes with this kind of lousy art ever again! At least I'll try my best not to repeat this disaster xD I chose to post it even though the lineart, coloring and shadowing suck because I know that I'm NEVER gonna do it over again. I'm too busy - and lazy - to take time to do this all over again. Maybe in a few years when I've hopefully improved xD Who knows. The only thing I'm remotely satisfied with is the background. Probably because it turned out much better than I expected, considering I never do actual backgrounds for my drawings.

At least I get to start on something new now that this drawing is out of the way.

Hope you enjoy anyway :)

*Edit* God, I found some REALLY annoying and obvious mistakes five minutes after submitting this. They have been corrected now!

I have not yet seen the movie 'Warm Bodies', but I will definitely need to after seeing this artwork. Your talent is very astounding, and the emotion portrayed by the work is very deep. It is easy to guess what the characters are thinking, simply by their eyes, expressions, and placement of hands. Those three things are very important in artwork, allowing the viewer to really understand what is going on. You have brought in all three of those things and this piece is phenomennal. And on a personal note: Geez, I'm jealous of your hand drawing skills!!!!!! Good job! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
